What will you do?
A day in the life of a Senior Director, Distribution Operations at VF looks a little like this.
The primary responsibility of the Sr. Director, Distribution Operations is to provide vision and leadership to the Ontario, CA VF Distribution Center.
Reporting to the Vice President Distribution, this position will be accountable for the overall operational and financial performance of the distribution center, while leading a team of professionals who have accountability for safety, security, inventory management, quality alignment, fulfillment operations, facility maintenance, and performance reporting across multiple shifts.

- Ensure the Ontario VF Distribution Center is a safe and secure workplace
- Create an inspiring experience for the distribution organization by being people-focused, evolving the organizational structure and talent practices, maximizing the potential of leaders, and partnering across VF to influence the collective business performance
- Effectively communicate operational requirements and performance to stakeholders across multiple levels in the organization
- Be highly inclusive by advocating for inclusivity, diversity, and equity among the distribution organization and throughout VF, driving accountability for representation of different perspectives and leading with trust
- Provides staff with opportunities for growth and talent development through classroom training and hands-on participation in projects across disciplines and geographies
- Leverage LEAN methodologies to drive continuous improvement and optimize facility operations
- Develop operational budgets, establish key cost driver tracking / reporting, and ensure budget objectives are met
- Establish key performance indicators and reporting focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People
- Lead strategic planning initiatives, assuring appropriate capacities are available to meet brand demand
- Ensure the facility is adequately staffed across all shifts to meet production requirements
- Ensure consistence application of corporate policies and support the development of new policies as required to stay in alignment with state, local, and federal regulations
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel.
Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 10+ years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are :
- 5+ years’ experience leading a team of people leaders.
- Demonstrates an in depth understanding of distribution processes including, automated storage, retrieval, packaging, and sortation.
- Strong management and career development skills.
- Strong budgeting and financial monitoring skills.
- Strong communication skills required to deal with all levels of management and hourly associates.
- Expertise in computer programs and applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field - preferred.

Hiring Range :
$171,600.00 USD - $214,500.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
