A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A GENERAL LABORER / PAVEMENT MARKING TECHNICIAN

In this pavement marking position, each day will be different. You will come to work and drive to the jobsite. You will be working with other Pavement Marking and Traffic Control Technicians to layout the markings on the road.

You will be part of deploying traffic control devices to direct traffic away from the work area. Then it's time to operate and drive state-of-the-art pavement marking and traffic control equipment.

All of this will be done while working outdoors in different areas of Wisconsin. Keep in mind that not every aspect of the General Labor / Pavement Marking Technician is for everyone;

but the reward of seeing a project complete and making roadways safer is worth the effort.

GENERAL LABORER / PAVEMENT MARKING TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS

• Able to travel across the state
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Able to maintain a valid driver's license and excellent driving record
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repetitively, reach overhead, bend, kneel and twist
• Able to work nights, weekends, and varying shifts
• Previous construction or physical job experience preferred
• Class B CDL strongly desired. Ability to obtain a Class B CDL or Class A CDL within 12 months of employment with HazMat and Tanker endorsements
