Position Overview :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team in the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services, with a proven track record of leading sales teams to exceed targets.

This role involves providing leadership, managing day-to-day operations, and driving sales strategies to serve our small business, plan participants, and retail clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide leadership and direction to the sales team, fostering a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies aimed at market penetration and sales growth.
  • Manage daily operations of the sales team, including setting sales targets, analyzing data, and project management.
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to create and manage sales proposals, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, market needs, and new opportunities.
  • Offer coaching and performance feedback to team members, ensuring professional development and achievement of sales targets.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasting, and budgeting in alignment with the company's financial and sales goals.
  • Keep abreast of the latest industry developments, regulatory changes, and financial products to ensure the team is knowledgeable and prepared to meet client needs.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the financial services industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of financial services and products, including those tailored to small businesses and retail clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performing sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.
  • Series 7, 66, and 24 are required within 90 days of hire.
  • Professional certifications such as CFP, CRPS or CRPC are a plus.
