The Facility Manager will be responsible for all building infrastructure on their hospital campus. They will oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure a quality environment for the caregivers and patients.
The Facility manager will inspect and maintain the plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and landscaping on their premises via facility maintenance and engineering functions, as well as hired vendors and contractors.
They will collaborate with support services and building inhabitants to uphold operational and safety protocols set by Facilities, Dietary, Clinical Engineering, EHS and Public Safety.
The Facility Manager will be responsible for staffing, scheduling routine preventive maintenance, planning new projects, regulatory compliance, and performing emergency repairs.

- Foster safety, regulatory compliance, capital planning, preventive actions, work order closure, standardization, and key metrics as a way of life for each facility
- Manage and support facility maintenance and engineering operations at local campus
- Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance work orders
- Lead systematic review of facility compliance through audits and rounding
- Ownership of System Facilities Index
- Participate in the decision and support of activities related to problem solving, repair, preventive maintenance, and quality assurance of patient care
- Lead facility annual goals, KPIs, and objectives
- Maintain daily meetings with staff and update Huddle Boards
- Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, parking lots, and outdoor spaces
- Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
- Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for leadership and other relevant staff
- Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions
- Ensures all projects and activities are compliant with all applicable codes and regulation
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting for facility needs?
- Work Orders - Real-time work order closure and feedback, customer focused, preventive and proactive vs corrective and reactive
- The Way Mission, Vision, Values, LSW, KPIs tied to pillars, Huddle Boards, 5S
- Purchasing and invoice approval, vendor selection, contractor management
- Other duties as assigned
- Ensure proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with Public Safety
- Working in conjunction with Public Safety Director on any projects that impact infrastructure and security such as camera, surveillance systems and entry controls.

Utilizes drills, knives, saws, nails, and splinters. Exposed to electricity, dust, soldering fumes, noise, outside weather conditions, temperature changes.

- Minimum 5 years experience in facility management
- Bachelor's in engineering or technical studies preferred
- Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems
- Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
- Ability to read blueprints
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels of employees, guests, vendors and team members
- Proficient in time management, organization and prioritization abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Project Manager
- Attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
- Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal building codes
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal / written)
- Valid Driver License required
