Open Position : Assistant Foreman

About the company :

Piedmont Service Group is a privately held company that has been in business since 1971. We have approximately 240 employees working out of our 7 offices across the state of North and South Carolina, and Virginia.

We partner with our clients to help them :

• Develop and implement cost effective predictive & preventative maintenance programs and facilities services agreements.
• Design and build energy efficient mechanical systems for their buildings.
• Design and install state of the art energy management and building automation systems.
• Identify, design, and install energy efficiency measures aimed at reducing the utility costs, utility consumption, and carbon footprint of their commercial facilities.
• Address indoor air quality issues.
• Maintain their chilled water plants.
• Identify and correct electrical system issues using technologies like thermal imaging
• Construct and maintain LEED rated buildings.
• Operate and manage energy efficient buildings through ongoing energy efficiency and sustainability services such as retro-commissioning, energy audits, proper maintenance, Energy Star ratings, lighting retrofits, & BAS optimization.

About the position :

• Maintain quality workmanship on all jobs.
• Ensure jobs are left in a clean and professional manner at the end of each day.
• Will be required to wear a company provided uniform and keep a neat and professional appearance.
• Check out all company tools with support services coordinator before leaving the office
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Attend all safety and other required meetings.
• Follow all safety requirements and use appropriate PPE while maintaining safe working conditions on job sites.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience :

• Must be able to communicate effectively with all customers, vendors and co-workers.
• Must be able to operate hand tools and powered tools safely.
• Must be able to work on ladders, elevated platforms, boom lifts, and scaffolding.
• Must have valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to routinely lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work overhead from ladders, lifting equipment and scaffolds.
• Ability to work for extended periods of time completely exposed to the elements.
• Ability to bend, climb, pull, push, balance, kneel, twist, and climb stairs and ladders.

Education Requirements :

• High School Diploma or GED
