As we look back on Pride Institute’s almost -year history of providing our clients with an inclusive and accepting place for recovery through evidence-based treatment for substance abuse, sexual health and mental health, we realize that Pride Institute’s services and advocacy are needed now more than ever! Our Residential Treatment Center (RTC) staff in Eden Prairie and our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) staff in Uptown Minneapolis understand the issues the LGBTQIA+ community face, and our mission is to give clients the tools needed for addiction and mental health recovery.
For the past four years, Pride Institute has been recognized as one of Newsweek’s Best Addiction Treatment Centers. We have also been honored by the MINNESOTA’S Best STAR TRIBUNE READERS’ CHOICE survey every year since its inception in 1 with the silver award in the Recovery / Treatment Center category.
We strive to provide the best client-centered care by employing and developing highly qualified staff trained in working specifically with the LGBTQIA+ community and dedicated to service excellence.
We are currently looking for a compassionate and committed full-time Primary Counselor to work with our clients in our evening IOP program.
Someone who desires to be part of a team of dedicated and like-minded human beings doing the hard work they want and need to be doing for the community.
Our evening Primary Counselor will develop and facilitate creative and engaging group counseling programs that utilize their talents and interests and their expertise in the field.
Our evening group typically ends between 8-8 : p, but the Counselor’s start time can be somewhat flexible.

This position also offers a $7, sign-on bonus. We have a tuition reimbursement program, a CEU reimbursement program and a licensure reimbursement program, as well as student loan repayment assistance.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have an active license (LADC or ADC-T) awarded by the MN BBHT; have 1-2 years’ experience in the chemical dependency field;
and have insight regarding the unique challenges faced by our clients. They must be able to pass / clear the MN DHS Background Study and a UA drug test.
