JobDescription :

Perform a widevariety of mechanical and electrical maintenance work of a skilledand complex nature. Installs repairs and maintains manufacturingequipment and plant facilities necessary for satisfactory operationof equipment and processes.

This position is moderatelyphysical.

• Diagnose mechanicalelectrical / electronic hydraulic and combustion malfunctions andoperating difficulties. Determines repair procedures and implementsthose repairs that will be effective in preventingreoccurrence.
• Can navigate and interpretladder logic in SLC 500 PLC 5 and Control Logix software for thepurpose of troubleshooting equipment faults.
• Can modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots.Models M94 M98 M2000 M2600 and M6700.
• Installsmoves and aligns new and existing equipment.
• Sets up and operates various types of machine shopequipment with a moderate degree of accuracy andefficiency.
• Performs both gas and electricwelding operations.
• Completes related machinerepair records performs associated handling duties and maintainswork area in a neat and orderly condition.
• Performs all necessary preventive and proactive tasks onplant equipment.
• Performs other related dutiesas assigned by supervision and / or designated teamleader.

SkillsRequired

Experience Required

A Maintenance Technician A levelmust be proficient at troubleshooting die casting machine cellsthrough the use of PLCs and electrical and hydraulicschematics.

EducationRequired

Must be ableto apply principles acquired through technical or vocationalsubjects (certificates or some college courses)
