Job Title : LPN Dialysis Nurse
Location : Cherry County Hospital and Clinic, Valentine Nebraska
Position Type : Full-Time
Job Summary : Cherry County Hospital and Clinic is currently seeking a dedicated LPN Dialysis Nurse to join our team. The LPN Dialysis Nurse will play a crucial role in providing competent and compassionate nursing care to patients with end-stage renal disease.
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), the LPN will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of our patients throughout their dialysis treatment.

Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide proficient and professional patient care using current technology and equipment.
- Assist with patient admission process and establish care priorities.
- Participate in patient and family education, discharge planning, and age-specific care.
- Serve as a patient advocate and clinical resource person.
- Monitor dialysis treatment, recognize significant changes in patient condition, and take appropriate action.
- Contribute to the development of care plans, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure effective communication and documentation of patient responses and interventions.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and uphold Corporate Compliance policies.

Minimum Job Requirements :
- Graduate from an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
- Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred.
- Minimum of 9 months of current experience in clinical nursing, with preference given to those with Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
- Minimum of an additional 3 months of experience in providing nursing care to patients on maintenance dialysis in either an acute or chronic setting.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions :
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care, including lifting and moving up to 100 pounds.
- Exposure to infectious materials, hazardous chemicals, and medical gases.
- Moderate noise level in the work environment.
