Position Overview : Soliant Education is seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team in Newport, OR.
The ideal candidates will have a strong background in special education, a commitment to inclusive teaching practices, and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in various academic subjects.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff to ensure the success of all students.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance.
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid Oregon teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
- Experience working with students with a wide range of disabilities, including but not limited to autism, intellectual disabilities, and emotional / behavioral disorders.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude.
