Description

The Technical Project Manager will oversee and manage technical projects related to satellite systems, space missions, and related technologies.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning : Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, resources, and budget. Define project deliverables and milestones.
  • Execution : Lead project execution, coordinating tasks, managing resources, and ensuring alignment with technical requirements and project goals.
  • Stakeholder Management : Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, team members, and external partners.

Provide regular project updates and address any issues or risks.

  • Risk Management : Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing issues proactively to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Technical Oversight : Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring that technical solutions meet project requirements and quality standards.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and quality assurance, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Documentation : Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project reviews.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience : 5+ years of experience in project management roles, with a strong track record of managing technical projects.
  • Technical Skills : Solid understanding of technical concepts and experience managing projects in software development, IT systems, or engineering.
  • Project Management Skills : Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
  • Communication : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges and deliver effective solutions.
  • Certifications : Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are required.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Education : Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience : 7+ years of experience in technical project management, with experience leading large-scale and complex projects.
  • Advanced Skills : Expertise in advanced project management methodologies and tools, including experience with Agile and Scrum frameworks.
  • Technical Expertise : In-depth knowledge of technical systems and technologies relevant to space exploration or satellite systems.
  • Certifications : Advanced project management certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)).
  • Industry Experience : Experience in aerospace or technology sectors, particularly with applications related to space technology or satellite systems

This position may include access to technology and / or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. To conform to U.

S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.

S.C. 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
