JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Engineer position is a critical role within the Surgical RD&E team. This position requires technical design and leadership skills as well as cross-functional teamwork.
The candidate will be the lead engineer to support major projects for multiple product lines within the surgical healthcare division.
In this role the Project Engineer will be responsible for innovative designs, managing partnerships, and leading internal cross-functional project teams.
They will be required to manage multiple projects according to project management principles and maintain compliance to regulatory and quality systems.
This individual will be required to interact closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, and other RD&E team members.

What You Will Do :
Lead innovative new product design and development projects in sterile barrier protection and temperature management.
Work with cross functional teams supporting development of strategic pathways for product development and efficiencies in manufacturing and design.
Understand the risks associated with different strategic moves and brainstorm methods to reduce risk.
Provide technical support for all in-scope products.
Function within all quality systems and regulations for medical devices
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or related field
6 years of experience
3 years of experience in the medical device industry
Experience writing technical documentation, including protocols and reports.
Experience creating / reviewing finished goods specifications.
Experience working in cross-functional teams as technical specialist.
Experience leading major projects with critical deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications :
Mechanical or Biomedical engineering degree preferred but open and consider any engineering degree with the right experience.
Class 1 Disposable Medical Device Product Development Experience
Proven ability to independently manage and execute objectives.
Project portfolio management experience is highly desired.
PMI PMP Certification
Knowledge of plastic film processing, pressure sensitive adhesive components and other medical device materials
Knowledge in medical device manufacturing
Customer relationship experience.
Ability to work independently.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
