Job Summary
The Storage Business Development Manager aims to identify and generate sales opportunities and meetings with a target list of whitespace accounts through outbound activities and profiling accounts.
This role is one of the first touchpoints in a sales cycle to acquire and grow our SHI Enterprise's Storage and Data Center business in whitespace accounts.
This position is required to report to the Austin, TX office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities
Include but not limited to :
- Drive storage and account growth for SHI by prospecting, profiling, and qualifying whitespace accounts.
- Prospecting via cold calling, email touches, and other means to uncover opportunities and meetings.
- Profiling and updating profile information in SHI's CRM tool.
- Actively staying on top of company, competition, vendor, and technology knowledge.
- Scheduling and running initial introductory meetings to qualify opportunities for Storage Engineers and sellers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
- 1+ years of sales and cold-calling experience
- 1+ years of CRM experience
- 1+ years of Storage and / or Data Center sales Experience Preferred
Required Skills
- A passion for hunting for new business (including Cold Calling)
- Proficiency in business productivity tools (Microsoft) - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Desire to learn, ability to accept feedback, and incorporate new strategies & ideas
- Strong collaboration skills in a team setting
- Effectively communicate complex subject matter - both verbally and written
- Desire to learn and a winning track record
- Continue mastering the basic concepts of professionalism, sales, and technology while building your brand
Unique Requirements
The position requires up to 25% travel to attend conferences & visit customer sites.
Additional Information
- This position's estimated annual pay range is $70,000 - $125,000, including a base salary and commission.
- The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
