AME Engineering is currently seeking a BIM Modeler to join our internal design team based in Downers Grove, Illinois. This role will be responsible for modeling complex projects from Entertainment, Agricultural, Industrial, Commercial, to Manufacturing facilities.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Model mechanical, plumbing, and process piping systems using Revit
• Create and maintain 3D equipment models to show final utility connections and coordinate different subcontractor trades
• Apply basic knowledge of building codes, industry standards and other criteria in the development of project designs
• Develop deliverable drawings for schematic, permit, construction, shop, and fabrication level of detail projects
• Create material takeoff reports to aid in project estimating and procurement
• Collaborate with design and construction team to optimize design, run Navisworks coordination meetings, and prepare clash detection reports

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-5 years of modeling experience with mechanical, plumbing and / or process systems for industrial and commercial buildings
• Degree related to BIM or Construction related design / modeling
• Experience using Revit
• Experience producing permit and construction drawings
• Experience working on Design / Build projects is a plus
