Our client is looking to hire a Field Service Technician for their US division! Our client is a world leader in the manufacturing of cremation and incineration equipment.
The Field Service Technician would be responsible for the maintenance and technical assistance to customers throughout the United States.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities :
- Maintain, troubleshoot and service light industrial equipment both mechanically and electrically
- Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve / repair all issues to keep equipment functioning properly
- Test each system after service / repair is complete to ensure the system is functioning properly
- Perform proper inspections of customer system to prevent future issues
- Explain each service and repair performed to customers
- Use sound judgment to deal with and eliminate safety related issues
- Provide detailed and clear service reports
Qualifications :
- Must have reliable transportation and valid Driver's License with proof of insurance and good driving record
- Versatile equipment maintenance repair skill set
- Electrical Controls experience needed
- 1-3 years wrench in hand experience (mechanical, engineering, electrical, installation (Experience limited to only computer / IT repair and installation is not generally a fit for this role.)
- Bonus to read mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics
- Must have standard tools used in the craft
- Associate's degree in a mechanical or electrical program
- 1-3 years field experience
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Knowledge of computers and controls design is a plus
