Regional Director of Operations (skilled nursing industry)

Empowered Staffing is partnered with an organization that owns and operates skilled nursing facilities across Texas. As the company continues to grow, they are seeking a Regional Director of Operations to join its team! This pivotal role will provide leadership, management, and oversight to facility Administrators, ensuring efficient operational and clinical controls across all locations.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to Administrators at the facilities, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Collaborate closely with the Director of Clinical Operations to ensure that all clinical operations such as surveys, quality measures, clinical reimbursement, CMS star ratings, and quality assurance achieve optimal outcomes and uphold our high standards of care.

Partner with the COO and CEO to develop and monitor financial, clinical, and operational budgets and goals, proactively addressing variances to stay on track.

Drive the organization to achieve and exceed census and revenue goals, optimize labor and expense management, enhance collections, and meet overall business objectives.

Deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive reports on the company’s operational and clinical status to the COO, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.

Work with the Director of Business Development to lead efforts in building strong relationships with local referral sources, such as hospitals, ACOs, physician practices, and the community, to implement effective growth strategies.

Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure, including systems, processes, and personnel, to support the organization’s rapid growth.

Motivate, mentor, and lead a high-performance management team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Required Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.

At least 2 years of experience as a Nursing Home Administrator or previous experience as a Regional Director of Operations.

Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, with a background in overseeing operations, compliance, clinical departments, etc.

Strong skills in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.

Ability to be flexible and multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while driving toward clarity and innovative solutions.
