We are seeking a Director of Nursing for our Home Health Care Services.
Director of Nursing will supervise the overall clinical operation of hiring, training / developing, and directing staff in the provision of the agency service, chart audits and filling clinical functions in compliance with agency policy and procedure, state regulations, and physician’s orders.
Directs day-to-day office / clinical operations, and all field staff. Highly organized, detail oriented and possess effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
Fair understanding of the issues related to the delivery of home health care services and be able to problem solve. Previous supervisory experience in a home health setting is strongly preferred.
Basic job responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following :
Quality assurance including reviewing charts and notes
Case management
Staff education and in-services, formulates and delivers educational program
Staff preparation for the OASIS
Oasis Knowledge to include hands-on experience with review
Reviewing OASIS for correct billing information
Reconciles census
Monitoring visits with nursing staff two to three visits a week
Manages or resolves escalated and elevated concerns and issues
Manages the quality and timeliness of daily functions through scheduling, monitoring attendance, and supervising assigned staff
Knowledge of leading practice in clinical care and payor requirements
Ensures accuracy of financial reporting and supports clinical billing leadership
Coordinates audit requests from internal and external sources
Self-motivated, proven communication skills, assertive
Background in business planning, and targeted outcomes
Working knowledge of managed care, inpatient, outpatient, and the home health continuum, as well as utilization management and case management
Working knowledge of the concepts associated with Performance Improvement
And performs all other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
BSN with Active RN license in the State of Texas.
MSN / MBA preferred, but not required .)
Graduated from an approved school of professional nursing.
Must have a minimum of five years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years of recent supervisory experience.
Previous Medicare Home Health experience.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing Home Health Care.
Must have excellent Organizational leadership, team building and diplomacy skills.
Exceptional communication skills with peers, superiors and subordinates.
Must have a proven track record of leadership and accomplishment in previous employment settings.
Upbeat, positive attitude and the ability to work in fast-paced, sometimes high-stress environment.
Basic computer software skills : Word, Excel, Power Point Internet / Intranet use.
Demonstrated effective working relationship with physicians.
And absolute love of patient care and the desire to be the best!

Identifies training needs and provides staff training, including cross-training opportunities.
