Special Education Teacher
Location : Los Angeles, CA
Position Type : Full-Time
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of students with disabilities.
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction to support various learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and integrated learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instructional strategies and interventions as needed.
- Provide support in developing students' social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress, and communicate regularly with parents or guardians.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing educational outcomes.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid California teaching certification with an endorsement in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with special needs is preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP development, special education laws, and best practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students, educators, and families.
- Passionate about creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Bilingual candidates prefered.
