What You’ll Do :

Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety for yourself and others throughout the operation, per MSHA and Vulcan standards.

Operate Heavy Equipment. Operate off-highway equipment to transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility safely and efficiently.

Inspect Equipment. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Complete daily mobile equipment reports and other relevant documentation with accuracy.

Maintain Equipment. Maintain equipment performance by checking vehicle fluid levels and adding correct fluids. Assist in performing other minor maintenance.

Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings. Monitor the plant and operations and report any necessary maintenance or adjustments to ensure safety.

Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You’ll Need :

Experience. Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment is preferred.

Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of general principles and practices of operating and servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred.

Flexibility. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.

What You’ll Like About Us :

Hourly Range. The hourly range for this role is between $21.63 and $24.45. This range does not include our discretionary bonus or equity package.

When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider several factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.

Summer and Winter Hours. To preserve energy,

Conewago Township has asked the Hanover Quarry to work on a rotating schedule during the summer and winter months. During the summer months, from May through September, our equipment operators typically work from

8 : 00 pm to 6 : 00 am . In the winter months, from October through March, they generally work from

6 : 00 am to 4 : 00 pm . The Shift Differential is applied to those working within the required hours during the summer.

Shift Differential. At Vulcan Materials Company, Northeast Division, Night Shift employees are paid a Shift Differential of an additional 10% on their base pay for working during the designated time.
