Hill International is seeking a Data Manager in Orlando, FL. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the community following a disaster and contribute to the recovery efforts in the Central Florida area.
Major cities include Daytona Beach, DeLand, Melbourne, Merritt Island, Ocala, Orlando, and Titusville.
- Prepare and implement procedures in the event of a security breach
- Create disaster recovery plans for a business to ensure the integrity of data, assets, databases, information systems, and technology
- Analyze vulnerabilities within current information systems, perform an audit, and provide protection with backup systems
- Manage contracts with third-party vendors and develop and assist in the training and documentation of disaster procedures for the company
- Work with the IT department to evaluate risk analysis and follow through on recovery plans
- Create goals in data recovery and monitor the department to ensure the completion of those goals
- Must have two (2) years of experience working with a relational database management system
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, business, finance, accounting, emergency management, or a similar field. Degrees in information technology (IT) or computer science are also acceptable
- Experience knowing how to make difficult decisions with available resources
- Extensive knowledge of department processes and the ability to communicate complicated concepts to a non-technical audience
