What will success look like as a Paralegal
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents.
- Review and analyze medical records and other pertinent documents to support case preparation.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Organize and maintain exhibits and evidence for use in court proceedings.
- Coordinate with expert witnesses and consultants as needed.
- Assist in preparing demand letters and settlement packages.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing Master Trial Calendars.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the firm.
What would an ideal candidate bring?
- Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, Legal Studies, or a related field (preferred but not required) paralegal certification (preferred but not required)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Spanish speaking strongly preferred but not required;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
- Knowledge of court procedures, legal terminology, and document drafting;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
