MIG Structural Welder Tulsa, OK

Temp to Hire

Pay : $15-20 / hr

Shift : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM (30-minute lunch)

Position Summary : We are seeking a MIG Structural Welder to join our team. This role is ideal for both experienced welders and those new to the field who are eager to learn.

As a MIG Structural Welder, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding on structural components while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel and related materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
• Participate in training sessions and skill development opportunities.

Qualifications :

• Experience in MIG welding preferred, but not required for entry-level candidates.
• Completion of welding school is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Compensation :

• Starting pay for entry-level welders : $15 per hour.
• Experienced welders can earn up to $20 per hour based on skills and performance.
• Raises available based on performance.

• Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
• Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals.
• Grind, cut, buff, or bend edges of workpieces to be joined to ensure snug fit, using power grinders and hand tools.
• Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.
