Job Summary
The COB Off of Business Career Management is currently seeking a student to join their team of professionals. The Office of Business Career Management is actively looking for a FWS student to join our student assistant team.
Our student assistants are a critical part of the team. You'll interact with employers, students, and administration daily, solving problems and providing excellent customer service.
You'll have a chance to create / promote the office on social media, and work on special projects and events with a great team that supports the mission of the office, college, and FIU.
Job Duties
- Interact with external employer partners looking to hire FIU Business students.
- Greeting guests, students, and employers during on-campus recruitment sessions.
- Answer emails, assist external employer partners with job postings in Handshake.
- Help students and employer partners with additional online platforms.
- Partner with other FWS' and GAs to promote / create social marketing campaigns.
- Input reservation requests, upcoming events, on-campus interviews, and other requests into Handshake or EMS.

Who May Apply
- Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.
- Students must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.
- Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end.
Work Schedule
Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of the department.
