Tax Associate - Entry Level

The responsibilities of the Tax Associate will include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Become familiar with the firm’s policies and procedures.
• Effectively communicate with clients to receive information necessary to complete the engagement with minimum disruption to client.
• Understand the rules, regulations, and Code of Professional Conduct of the AICPA
• Attends and participates in professional education including in-house industry group meetings and participates in professionally sponsored training sessions.
• Obtain a working knowledge of research techniques and the various research sources in the firm library.
• Use the firm’s software programs to automate the process from trial balance, financial statement, and the tax return. This may include using technology to link client’s software with the firm’s.
• Reconcile client records to trial balance, which may include analytical procedures, and performs schedule computations of pre-paids, accruals, property, and equipment, and calculates depreciation expense.
• May be required to perform all phases of an engagement, including report writing and tax return preparation.
• Assist in the development and training of junior staff

Education and Years of Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and / or finance preferred
• 1+ years of tax experience or extensive Internship experience
• HNWIexperience is a plus
