Business Intelligence Engineer III

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Opportunity :

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer III at our facility in Bellevue, Washington to design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data models, reports / dashboards / BI solutions for analytics and deep learning.

What You’ll Do :

• Implement data ingestion routines both real time and batch using best practices in data modeling, ETL / ELT processes.
• Provide on-line reporting and analysis using business intelligence tools and a logical abstraction layer against large, multi-dimensional datasets and multiple sources.
• Gather business and functional requirements and translate these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.
• Produce comprehensive, usable data set documentation, metadata, BI reports,
• Dashboards and insights.
• Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per week.

What You’ll Need :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field and 5 years of experience.
• Experience must include 2 years in the following : SQL and data modeling;
• Building automated data warehousing environments for production reports or tables;
• Redshift, Snowflake DWH’s and S3 or similar data lakes;
• Data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Quicksight or similar;
• Building self-serve BI solutions, canned reports and enterprise level BI solutions;
• Data modeling in large Data warehousing and data lake environment;
• Python / R or similar coding languages;
• Drawing insights from data and clearly communicating them to the partners and senior management;
• Data management fundamentals and data storage principles; and
• BI tools for ETL, including Airflow.
• Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per week.

Compenstion & Benefits :

Our salary range for a Business Intelligence Engineer III position is $134,500 to $215,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location.

In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
