- The Senior Accountant position will play a key role in the growth and expansion of the finance and accounting department.
- The Senior Accountant will not only focus on day-to-day accounting but will also be exposed to cost accounting.
- This position will pay between $90-110K for the right person.
The Senior Accountant's responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Compile and analyze financial data for liability, asset, and capital accounts.
- Prepare financial reports including profit and loss statements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide guidance to junior staff and manage financial reporting
- Assist in month-end closing by preparing necessary journal entries and analyzing inventory evaluations.
- Assist with company-wide budgeting reports and participate in the budgeting process.
- Maintain product cost metrics such as Standard Costs and Actual Costs, ensuring manufacturing cost margins are met.
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard and actual costs.
Senior Accountant Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3+ years of general accounting experience.
- Cost accounting experience is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems like Oracle NetSuite.
- Thorough understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills; ability to manage confidential information and interpret data.
