IT Analyst 2 - Epic Inpatient / Ambulatory Quality and Regulatory-(240002QL)

Description

Under the direct supervision of a manager or director and according to established policies and procedures, the Analyst II performs routine analysis to include evaluation of hardware and software based on end user criteria.

The Analyst II performs workflow analysis, design, development, testing, training, implementation, management and support of assigned application systems and / or projects.

Directly interacts with assigned department managers and senior level staff to provide automation services in support of department’s strategic and operational objectives.

Maintains system specification and technical documentation. Acts as liaison between Information Technology vendors and TGH.

Participates in and / or leads department and hospital task forces, focus groups and / or committees as assigned by their supervisor to meet the group objectives.

Employs intermediate analytical and technical evaluative process; managerial and interpersonal perspectives. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

The Quality and Regulatory Standards team supports Inpatient and Ambulatory Quality and Regulatory efforts for the Florida Health Sciences Center, Inc.

Healthcare System. These include TGH, USFTGP, TGPN, TGMG, Practice Connect, TGH Urgent Care powered by Fast Track, and all TGH Service Lines.

The QRS Team is solely responsible for ensuring yearly extracts are pulled for QA submission for programs such as MIPS, ACO, PCMH, eCQM, and ensuring systems and processes are in place to meet Cures Act and Safer guidelines and standards.

The team is also responsible for ensuring all coding, logic and data points used for quality reporting are configured correctly in the system and updated yearly to CMS and other regulatory agency guidelines.

In addition to supporting TGH Quality and Regulatory programs, the team supports a full suite of software applications including Epic MyChart patient portal, Healthy Planet, Care Everywhere, careMESH health information exchange and referral platforms;

Nuance voice recognition software (both mic driven and ambient listening platforms), Aura (API enabled Lab integration) and the Epic mobile apps, Haiku and Canto.

Qualifications

Highschool or GED and up to 2+ years of experience in information technology / applications experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Epic Quality, HP Compass Rose, or Epic Care Ambulatory Certifications preferred.
  • Associate of Arts or Associate of Science and up to 2+ years of information technology / applications or healthcare operations experience.
  • Industry recognized certification(s) for assigned systems.
  • Population health knowledge of healthcare areas such as social determinants of health, nursing, perioperative services, emergency department and support services.
  • CMS Quality knowledge.
