Large Downtown Legal office has an opening for an experienced Paralegal, specifically in Family Law / Domestic Relations.
Paralegal should have some experience in Divorce and Family Law, but consideration will be given to applicants with legal experience in other practice areas.
You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs.
Responsibilities :
- Assist attorney with case management and Client communications
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Record and store client information
- Hourly client billing
- Scanning, attaching, and filing client documents
- Taking client phone calls / questions, sending internal messages, noting in case management software
- Document assembly (Trial Exhibits; Client Notebooks; Labeling; Organizing Documents)
- Receiving and processing delivered documents (from Client / OP / OC)
- Scheduling meetings / dockets
- Document filing
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a paralegal
- Familiarity with legal research and Colorado Divorce Procedures
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced office environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented a must.
- Experience in hourly client billing
Base pay ranges between $20 - $28 per hour with opportunities for monthly incentive and annual merit bonuses.
