Job Function
Setup and operate die casting machine
Essential Functions
- Follow prescribed Safety Regulations and immediately report any unsafe conditions to the Safety Coordinator
- Ability to follow instructions, read and understand Attribute Sheets, gages, Work Instructions, Setup Sheets, etc
- Perform daily paperwork requirements and fill out timecards accurately
- Ability to identify defects and understand the level of quality that the customer demands
- Report any machine problems to supervisor immediately
- Maintain housekeeping for machine and area at the end of your shift or before moving to another operation
- Remove die after production run and transport to the die storage area
- Prepare components needed for cast and trim setup
- Setup cast and trim die safely, according to the documented information
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed to meet production demands
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Three to six moths related experience preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to measure components accurately using calipers, micrometers, and tape measure
- Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
