We are hiring an Assistant Laboratory Manager. The Assistant Laboratory Manager will manage R&D Lab with safety and compliance.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain R&D Lab for safety and compliance to support R&D group
- Manage laboratory inventories with re-ordering points using Kanban system & lead times
- Perform periodic (monthly or quarterly) reconciliation of physical and electronic laboratory inventories
- Participate in department and company meetings
- Prepare Purchasing Orders, track items, receive packages, update inventory, and document all paperwork for audit trails for Quality and Finance
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment and coordinating for preventive maintenance and repairs
- Perform in-house equipment preventive maintenance and weekly checks of common use analytical equipment as assigned
- Assist and coordinate stockroom and inventory management of general laboratory supplies
- Support and enforce safety procedures for the laboratory and R&D general operations
- Assist in preparation of presentations and department communication
- Under servicing contracts, coordinate with outside vendors to perform scheduled preventive maintenance and / or calibration to prevent unplanned down times
- Manage and update Lab Protocol and Safety SOPs as appropriate
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Required Skills / Education :
- B.S. in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry or equivalent
- In lieu of education, directly related experience of 10+ years
- 3-5 years of related laboratory experience, experience with ISO 13485 and 21 CRF 820
- Preferred understanding of cell culture techniques, technologies, concepts, practices and procedures
- Good general knowledge of chemical and biohazard handling
- Good working knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, etc.)
- Collaboration and teamwork
- Robust organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and productivity software
- Understanding of GMP and GLP
- Problem solving and analysis
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Good oral and written communication skills and good presentation skills
Salary and Benefits :
For California, the base salary range for this position is $61,594 to $98,314 annually. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.
g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
