UW Medical Center-Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our outpatient Ambulatory Float Pool .
WORK SCHEDULE
- Full time
- Day shifts (8 : 00am-4 : 30pm)
- Monday-Friday only
- Most clinics are located in Seattle’s University District; occasional travel will be required to other off-site clinic locations
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Our Ambulatory Float Pool provides short term and long term staffing coverage for planned and unplanned absences throughout Montlake ambulatory clinics.
The Registered Nurse will float to ambulatory units for ad hoc and ongoing assignments and will be responsible for managing the continuum of patient care in various ambulatory settings.
The Registered Nurse will support a wide variety of practices, including internal medicine, sports medicine, surgical services, and medical specialties.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors patient flow in various ambulatory settings
- Performs phone triage
- Provides independent patient assessments in specialty care settings
- Administers medications and injections
- Coordinates medical and nursing care across the UW Medicine system
- Documents patient care outcomes in our EHR system (Epic)
- Assists with minimally invasive ambulatory procedures
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of recent ambulatory or medical-surgical nursing experience
- Familiarity with phone triage standards
- Active BLS certification
- Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
