Lead Irrigation Technician Location : Tampa, Florida
- Pay : $25 per hour
- Shift : Monday - Friday, 6 : 30 AM to 3 : 00 PM
ABM, a leading provider of facility solutions, is seeking an experienced Lead Irrigation Technician to join our team in Tampa, Florida.
The selected candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining irrigation systems at Hillsborough County high schools' sports fields.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of irrigation systems and be able to work independently to ensure the efficient operation of the irrigation systems.
Responsibilities :
- Repair and maintain irrigation systems at Hillsborough County high schools' sports fields.
- Perform other maintenance and construction-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Modify existing irrigation systems to improve coverage or accommodate construction activities.
- Rapidly respond to address emergency leaks or malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot and repair broken irrigation components such as pipes, heads, nozzles, and valves.
- Monitor and program irrigation controllers for proper and efficient operation.
Qualifications :
- Licensing or Certifications : CLT, CPR (preferred).
- Skills :
o Proficiency with multi-meters, trenchers, wire locators, and ditchers.
o Basic understanding of electricity and hydraulics related to irrigation systems.
o Familiarity with 110-volt electricity, 24V sprinkler timers and wiring, and landscape water management.
o Ability to operate and maintain ground equipment.
Experience :
o Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
o Two full-time years (24 months) of progressively responsible grounds irrigation care and maintenance work in a municipal, commercial, or parks setting.
o Experience in performing preventative maintenance to correct performance issues, including elevation adjustments of heads, valves, and valve boxes.
o Ability to create and read site map-colored charts / legends is a plus.
o Must be dedicated, determined, and dependable.
