Class A CDL Driver (Hazmat Endorsement)

OverviewUnder general supervision, the CDL Driver will perform regularly scheduled transportation runs to move materials.

The position requires knowledge of shipping and receiving logistics such as shipping bills, and parcel receipts. The safe movement of hazmat materials is required and the Driver must possess a valid Hazmat Endorsement on their CDL Class A license.

ResponsibilitiesDrive company vehicle to pick up and deliver outgoing mail and packages from client site and / or other locations within established time frames, per directions givenObtain proof of delivery for each package (signature, printed name, date and time)Notify Supervisor / Dispatcher about any problems or delays in delivering or picking up a packageNotify Supervisor / Dispatcher upon completion of assigned runsProperly account for petty cash expendituresPerform other duties as requested by Site Manager, Assistant Site Manager, or Supervisor / DispatcherOrganize own transportation to deliver packages as neededMeet customer requirements and resolve any customer issues as neededMay be required to fill in as Dispatcher if need arisesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or comparable work experienceValid U.

S.
