Belmont City College is seeking an enthusiastic English teacher to join our experienced team.
The successful applicant will ideally understand the Years 7 to 10 WA Curriculum and Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) English courses and the ability to successfully develop and deliver programs in this area.
We are seeking teachers who are student and relationship focused, enthusiastic and innovative with the capacity to provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful experiences while catering for diverse student learning needs.
The successful applicant will ideally display that they integrate a growth mindset into their teaching and their approach to young people.
Teachers with experience teaching Year 12 Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) English are strongly encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant should have the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and will have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to our school community.
They will utilise best classroom practice whilst employing a range of assessment and reporting methods. This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment.
This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
