SUMMARY

The Senior Mammography Technologist is a modality subject expert and will demonstrate excellent customer service, communication skills, and obtain quality positioning and imaging quality studies.

Rochester Regional Health's Imaging and Radiology teams provide the highest quality diagnostic and treatment imaging services to the Western, Central and Finger Lakes New York communities.

STATUS : Full Time

LOCATION : Will rotate to different offices

DEPARTMENT : Ambulatory Imaging

SCHEDULE : Monday - Friday (between 7AM-6PM). No holidays, evenings or weekends.

ATTRIBUTES

Two (2) year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.

NYS license in Radiologic Technology

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R)

Prior Radiologic Technologist experience (preferred)

ARRT-M Advanced Mammography Certification (preferred)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mammography. Perform and / or assists diagnostic, screening, ultrasound and interventional mammography procedures; perform daily and periodic Mammography Quality Assurance (QA) activities under the direct supervision of the mammography QA Technologist;

monitor image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all quality standards are met

General Maintenance. Monitor equipment for proper performance and functionality; clean, restock and prepare examination rooms on a daily basis

Documentation. Complete all necessary documentation in the radiological information system (RIS) and / or patient charts

AAS : Radiologic Technology

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS :

M - Mammography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;

Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
