Research Scientists at Delsys apply scientific and engineering principles to create innovative, human-centric technology to meet the needs of clinicians and researchers within the fields of human movement and rehabilitation sciences.

This role is involved in many of our projects spanning the development of next-generation neural interface technology, autonomous computer vision algorithms for tracking human movement, and computational methods to improve the tracking robustness of physiological parameters under dynamic conditions.

At Delsys our team is passionate about developing technology in the field of human-centric sensing. As a Research Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in advancing innovative and cutting-edge solutions by developing algorithmic solutions related to neural interface development, computer vision tracking, and human biomarker detection, leveraging the latest techniques in signal processing, machine learning, and computer vision to achieve high-fidelity, robust outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and clinicians to design technology for human-centric sensing.
  • Conduct research to provide quantitative solutions for complex signal processing and computer vision challenges for tracking human physiology.
  • Create signal processing and computer vision algorithms for pattern recognition and characterization of physiology, biomechanics, and control of human movement.
  • Effectively communicate research outcomes both internally and externally through written reports, presentations, and publications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD (or M.S. with 2+ years of experience) in engineering (computer, electrical, biomedical), computer science, physics, or similar degree program.
  • Proven track record of rigorous scientific research applying signal processing / computer vision concepts and techniques to real-world problems.
  • Fluent in Python or another high-level language (e.g., MATLAB)
