DePorre Veterinary Hospital in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, is looking to hire a compassionate, personable, hard-working surgery and dental technician assistant who can focus, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
We are AAHA accredited and focus on Fear Free handling, making pet’s physical and emotional well-being our top priority.
- The candidate must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and be on their feet all day, able to walk (including walking dogs up to 130 pounds), bend, kneel down or stand for extended periods.
- Primary job responsibilities include fear free restraint for patient exam, assisting with preparing the patient for procedures, patient monitoring and electronic record keeping, surgery suite set up and clean up.
- Secondary job responsibilities would include, but are not limited to cleaning surgical equipment, laundry, cleaning patient cages / runs, stocking and general cleaning, and patient restraint for blood draws and radiographs.
- Previous animal experience preferred. High school diploma is required. Basic computer skills are necessary.
