Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Crown and Bridge Manager to lead the digital and analog Crown & Bridge Department at our dental laboratory.
This role is perfect for a technician with a strong background in crown and bridge fabrication who also possesses leadership and management skills.
As the department manager, you will oversee quality control, ensure efficient workflow, and maintain open communication with dental offices.
Additionally, you will play a key role in training and developing the Crown & Bridge team.
We are looking for a strategic leader who can see the big picture, manage departmental growth, and support the companys overall expansion.
While this role will primarily focus on leadership and quality control, some hands-on benchwork may be required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise the Crown & Bridge digital design team, ceramic team, model room, and other department staff.
- Distribute and manage workflow to optimize efficiency and meet departmental capacity.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
- Troubleshoot complex cases and provide solutions for both staff and clients.
- Offer technical assistance and guidance to dentists and dental offices regarding crown and bridge cases.
- Collaborate with the Removable Department for hybrid combo cases.
- Ensure quality control for all outgoing cases from the Crown & Bridge Department.
- Assist in crown and bridge production as needed.
- Maintain and update case details in the case management system for billing and communication purposes.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with crown and bridge cases.
- Proven management experience with a track record of successful employee supervision.
- Strong communication skills, both with internal teams and clients.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, and various crown and bridge materials, including PMMA, PFM, PFZ, zirconia, hybrid ceramics, and composites.
- Experience with dental implants, from single restorations to full-arch cases.
- Basic proficiency with design software, preferably 3Shape or Exocad .
- Familiarity with milling CAM software, hardware, and 3D printing / nesting.
- Problem-solving skills for complex crown and bridge or implant cases.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and optimizing departmental workflows.
- Basic knowledge of removable dental prosthetics.
- Experience using case management systems.
