Description :
The Systems Engineer will oversee the day-to-day operation of computer systems including support, training, and special projects.
Administer internal and external systems.
- Provide in-depth support for Linux systems & Google Cloud hosted systems.
- Research new solutions, methods to refine and streamline current environments.
- Assemble and configure components and associated services.
- Establish and maintain user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and security.
- Assist with server & Google Cloud environment.
- Research, analyze, monitor, troubleshoot and resolve server or data network problems.
- Create and maintain a disaster recovery plan and establish resiliency in systems for optimal uptime.
Ensure high performing development and production systems that continually adapt to and meet business needs.
- Plan, recommend and assist in the design of development and production systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server and network related problems.
- Inventories software development, test, and production systems
- Maintain consistency in setup across different environments.
Oversee system upgrades, patches, new applications, and equipment.
- Continually research and stay current on systems to make necessary business recommendations.
- Develop plan to deploy updates to necessary units thru automation.
- Evaluate prospective applications, equipment, or other systems and make appropriate recommendations.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and consulting with vendors and clients for hardware / software purchases, product services and support.
- Design, test, build and deploy Google Cloud projects in collaboration with system engineer and development team.
Ensure the highest level of network and system security.
- Conduct research to select and implement the most efficient and reliable system security.
- Conduct malware cleaning and repair as necessary to affected systems.
- Ensure confidential data is secure and protected. Create and communicate best practices to ensure data security.
Other duties as assigned.
- Participate in projects assigned by manager.
- Maintain and follow ISO standards.
- Seek out and complete appropriate training, development, and research.
- Knowledge of department processes
- Support the mission and goals of the company.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience, Required
- 3 Years Enterprise Linux Systems Administration, Required
- 3 Years Cloud Experience (GCP), Preferred
- 2 Year LAMP Stack, Preferred
- 2 Year Docker, Kubernetes, Zabbix, Terraform Preferred
- 1 Year Apache, MySQL, PHP, Required
- GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or other related Google Cloud experience preferred
