Business Intelligence Developer

As the BI champion, you'll also spearhead the evaluation of future BI tools to ensure we stay ahead of the curve. Your expertise will help shape our data-driven decision-making process, optimizing performance, developing compelling dashboards, and providing top-notch support to our users.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• BI Report Development : Design, develop, and maintain SiSense reports and cubes that provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
• Ensure reports are easy to understand, and tailored to meet the needs of different user groups.
• Data Integration : Collaborate with our software development team to identify and integrate required data into SiSense for reporting needs
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across various data sources and reporting tools.
• BI Platform Evaluation : We currently use SiSense as our BI platform, but would like to explore the BI market in the upcoming year.
• Lead an investigation to determine the most suitable BI tool for the company's future needs.
• Evaluate different BI tools based on functionality, scalability, ease of use, and alignment with business requirements.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on BI projects and gather feedback.
• User Support and Training : Provide ongoing support to end users, addressing any issues or questions that arise.
• Conduct training sessions and create documentation to help users effectively utilize BI solutions.
• Innovation and Improvement : Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in BI tools and technologies.
• Proactively seek opportunities to improve existing BI processes and solutions.
• All other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT :

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

COMPENTENCY, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :

• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role, with a strong focus on SiSense.
• Experience in SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

REQUIRED :

• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
