Our client is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to become an integral part of our team! You will lead a variety of food safety and quality assurance programs.
In this role, will lead Food Safety and Quality programs at the Riverside, CA manufacturing facility. This includes leading implementation and daily program oversight of HACCP including USDA as well as FDA Food Safety Plans under FSMA including SQF certification and compliance to Food Safety requirements and other related customer initiatives.
This position is a direct hire.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and maintain quality control systems and product or process verification systems, including sampling procedures and analytical tests to ensure all products produced meet food safety quality.
- Comply with Company Policy, USDA and FDA requirements.
- Must be very well knowledgeable working closely with meats and well experienced with temperatures and cooking processes.
- Models a positive, resilient, and results-oriented approach.
- Will work closely with HR.
- Work and communicate closely in correspondence with On-site USDA Inspectors
- Will be working closely with USDA inspectors to ensure all products meet USDA standards.
- Involves and engages employees through regular team meetings, process improvement discussions, follow-up on suggestions, and regular communication.
- Responsible for Safety Incident documentation and investigation.
- Ensures use of proper procedures, PPE and team’s attendance at required training.
- Ensures proper training, coaching and feedback to new employees.
- Ensures appropriate level and depth of cross training in each area through optimal use of all training tools and experience available.
- You will be responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring performance and disciplinary actions for your team.

- Being able to work with cross functional departments within the organization
- To review the Hazard Management Program in place, make proper adjustments
- Conduct an annual review and evaluation of company Food Safety and Sanitation SOP’s, SSOP, and Sanitation Schedules.
- The Organization of paperwork, record keeping and all required reports. Making sure the files are properly filed and labeled for USDA inspections, review and compliance
Qualifications :
- Previous experience with USDA Inspection and Meat Products
- Must be flexible with the schedule if required to work a 10 hour shift
- Must be HACCP Trained and Certified
- Experience with Meat Tamales and Meat Taquito Line Production a plus.
- Strong root-cause analysis skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
- Results driven.
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and related production and product information systems.
- Must be bilingual Spanish / English
- Must pass pre-employment screening and background check.
