We are searching for a full-time payroll specialist to join our growing Client Accounting & Advisory practice. This role will be based at one of our clients in Hanover Park, IL, and our Naperville office.

Essential job duties :
- Oversight of full-cycle payroll process including flow of information from HRIS, payroll and timekeeping systems.
- Ensures the bi-weekly files are created to issue direct deposits, checks, and wire transfers associated with payroll.
- Coordination with Human Resources department to capture and process payroll updates.
- Liaison to other departments regarding the payroll functions and as a point of contact to respond to payroll questions.
- Administrator and main point of contact for timekeeping software, payroll system, and payroll check / W-2 software.
- Processes approvals for timesheets in a timely manner.
- Creation of reports, schedules, and shifts, setting up supervisors, and reviewing employee changes in systems.
- Responsible for compliance filings including unemployment monthly and quarterly, federal and state tax returns, quarterly 941’s and W-2’s.
- Understands government payroll rules and regulations including union contracts.
Position Qualifications :
- 3+ years payroll experience; governmental payroll and union payroll experience is preferred.
- Experience working in Tyler New Work is preferred.
- Strong verbal & written communication abilities.
- Desire to work in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task, establish priorities & organize efficiently.
- Highly motivated, self-starter.
