Department Specific Job Responsibilities : Our CVI operating rooms boast 2 state-of-the-art Endovascular Suites and a Hybrid Cardiac OR along with standard cardiac, vascular and thoracic operating rooms.

We care for patients undergoing highly complex cardiac, vascular / endovascular and thoracic surgery procedures. In addition to our standard procedures we have an established Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program and an Endovascular Aneurysm program (TEVAR, EVAR) and Cardiac Transplant program.

Our focus on providing outstanding patient care has helped establish BIDMC as a leader in health care quality, safety, reform and transparency.

Our nurses are highly regarded for the superb care and compassion they provide every patient who walks in to our hospital.

Staff work 8 , 10 and 12 hour shifts and cover in house 6 : 45 AM - 7 : 30PM. Staff also cover 2, 4, 12, 24 hour CVI call on the off shifts, weekends and holidays.

As part of an unprecedented organizational initiative, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is now offering up to $15,000 in sign on bonuses for various positions within Perioperative Services.

OR Nurses must be licensed with at least one year of perioperative nursing experience in the areas mentioned for CVI OR.

Sign On Bonus Amounts : CVI OR Nurses : $15,000 for full time, $7,500 for part time employeesEligibility guidelines & Payout terms : -$15,000 signing bonus for Periop NursesNew hire to BILH system or a previous employee who left in good standing and returning to BILH after 1 yearIf a previous employee and returning under 1 year will be eligible for $10,000.

Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.License Registered Nurse required.1-3 years related work experience required.

American Heart Association - Basic Life Support CertificateMust have at least one year OR Nursing experience.Basic familiarity with computers.

Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.Preferred Qualifications : Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty area expertiseCompetencies : Written Communications : Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written English with internal and external customers.

Oral Communications : Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with medical center staff, patients, families and external customers.

Knowledge : Ability to demonstrate full working knowledge of standard concepts, practices, procedures and policies with the ability to use them in varied situations.
