Accounts Payable Specialist

Vaco has partnered with a healthcare client In Noblesville, IN to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist. This person will work 100% onsite.

Candidates MUST HAVE previous healthcare experience to be considered.

The Accounts Payable Specialist serves as a primary processor of A / P requests and invoices. The A / P Specialist enters and maintains data,

processes invoice, reconciles accounts, and maintains assigned databases.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews all purchase orders and / or invoices ensuring price and quantity is accurate and correct account numbers are assigned
• Ensure appropriate management approval and work with vendors and managers to resolve questions regarding invoices or expensed amounts.
• Responsible for Account Reconciliation.
• Enter vendor and invoice information into automated records systems and review vendor statements monthly and resolve any discrepancies.
• Handle Payment Processing.
• Initiate preparation of checks weekly for all outstanding obligations that are due and process offline and void accounts payable checks as appropriate.

This includes capital equipment and construction invoices.

• Requires knowledge of Accounting Processes.
• Timely and accurately complete month end period close, sales tax deposit record, outstanding leases and contract services, maintain vendor file including 1099 data when appropriate, and prepare month end accruals of outstanding and estimated expense, prepare and distribute assigned reports and maintain paper and electronic filing systems.
• Perform routine duties of Fiscal Services Assistant such as posting cash receipt transactions, billing non-patient services and performing bank transfers as required.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• 3+ years’ experience in accounting and accounts payable.
• MUST HAVE previous healthcare experience
• Previous experience with Workday is preferred, but not required
• Requires analytical skills and proficiency to collect, use, interpret and enter data.
• Requires problem solving skills and ability to efficiently enter data accurately.
• Applies accounting principles with advanced mathematical skills to find errors and or fix problems.
• Knowledge of PC and networked computer applications to include payment and reconciliation systems.
• Able to compile and generate reports.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at various stages of development.
• Able to handle a high degree of independent access to confidential patient and organization information and must be able to handle such information appropriately.
