Mr. Harold Potsdam, its founder. In 1975 the school changed its name to St. Michael’s School and a Board
of Trustees were appointed. It was at this time that St. Michael’s became a non-profit day school with an Episcopal affiliation.
In 1994, the Board of Trustees renamed the school St. Michael’s Independent School, ending the Episcopal affiliation, while retaining all of the same internal procedures and traditions. In July
in 2006, the school officially returned to its original name, The Pine School.
