Job Summary :
The Cage Cashier performs many types of cash transactions; chip / token / coin cash-outs, cashes checks and performs credit card cash advances with patrons along with performing transactions with employees of other departments to support Casino gaming operations.

Major Responsibilities / Activities :
- Counts down and balances the cage vault at the beginning and end of shift, and balances amounts to the impress bank.
- Sets-up cage equipment prior to opening of cage window.
- Exchanges currency, coin, chips and tokens to customers.
- Completes and signs associated accountability forms.
- Conducts customer even money exchange transactions.
- Redeems coin and completes Jackpot / Fill transactions.
- Has knowledge of federal cash reporting requirements and completes the necessary paperwork to comply with federal currency transaction reporting requirements of Title 31.
- While at an employee only window, cage cashier conducts jackpot and hopper fill transactions and conducts table fill and credit transactions.
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the locked fill and credit slip-dispensing machine.
- At end of shift deposits, accumulated tips in the tip box, located in the cage vault.
- Reports and submits all tips earned at end of shift.
- Obtain and maintain most current information regarding applicable Tribal, State, Federal, and Gaming policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements :
- Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- One year of high-volume cash handling experience required, preferably in a casino cage.
- Some college courses in Banking and Finance or related area preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must have advanced Computer capabilities.
- Must be 10-key capable.
- Knowledge of gaming software systems required with use of IGT software preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
- A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.
- All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
