Shift Requirements : 3x12s, every other weekend required
Unit Specific Information
- Unit Information : 1 : 6 ratio
- Medical-Surgical : Majority are medical patients (COPD exacerbation, PNA, COVID-19, chest pain, small bowel obstruction, etc.
Small surgical case load (roughly 1-3 post-surgical cases / day) including gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, colectomy, mastectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy.
Additional Details
- Effective 11 / 30 / 24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW)
- The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9 / 9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11 / 30)
- Periop / OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule
- These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11 / 30 deadline
- Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS
- IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour
