Description The Kentucky Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) is a multi-faceted agency that provides servicesand programs to enhance the self-sufficiency of families;

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Provides entry level social work to individuals and / or families through the assessment of client needs and the provision of social services.
- Acquires knowledge and skill in program area.
- Completes DCBS 161 Termination of Parental Rights packets
- Reviews all court documentation, gathers case specific information that will be used to file for termination of parental rights, and ensures no viable relative or placement exists.
- Completes Presentation Summaries.
- Prepares information pertaining to the mental / physical status of the child in question, reviews education records, develops summary of child’s neglect and abuse history and placement history.
- Assists in completion of home evaluations, Interstate Compact studies, and custody investigations.
- Serves as a back up for Child and Adult protection, foster care, and Recruitment and Certification teams.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
