The functional responsibilities and qualifications for this position include :

• Implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
• Assists Network Engineer with network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures.
• May also implement network and computer security measures.
• May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
• Required Experience :
• Entry Level : At least one (1) year of experience in network implementation and functional responsibilities above.
• Journeyman : At least five (5) years of experience in network implementation.and functional responsibilities above.

Education / Experience : BS or BA in a technical discipline

Education / Experience Substitution Criteria : If a Bachelor’s Degree is required, 6 years’ additional work experience meeting the required experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree, except for personnel that are engineers.

Also, an Associate’s Degree plus 4 years’ additional work experience meeting required experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree, except for personnel that are engineers.
