Job Overview : A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney with 2-3 years of experience. The role involves complete case-handling responsibility for insurance companies and self-insured entities from start to final resolution.
The attorney will have direct client contact and an opportunity to work closely with the managing attorney, with potential advancement into a partner status.
Duties :
- Handle all aspects of insurance defense cases from initiation to resolution.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance defense matters.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs.
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
Requirements :
- 2-3 years of experience in insurance defense with complete case-handling responsibility.
- Admitted to the California Bar.
- Strong litigation skills and familiarity with state and federal court procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Education :
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications :
Admission to the California State Bar.
