Helio Health is on a mission to treat and promote recovery from the effects of substance use, mental health disorders, and other behavioral healthcare issues.
To support the mission of Helio Health we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Mobile Crisis Clinician to work Per Diem, on call, providing counseling and therapy to patients through our CCHBC Mobile Crisis Program .
This position will work evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts in an on call manner from home.
When an in-person crisis call out is necessary, the clinician will be required to deploy to the scene.
Pay Rate : $28.90-$34.00 / hourly.
This position will also receive a $30 daily rate for the days they are on call, and this rate is paid regardless of whether they are called in.
Responsibilities
- Perform telephonic or in-person response to adults and youth experiencing crisis in the community
- Perform essential counseling / therapist responsibilities which may include screening, intake and orientation, evaluation and intervention, referrals, crisis intervention, crisis counseling, patient education, reporting and record keeping.
- Assist with the training of staff, volunteers and student interns as assigned.
- Exhibit exemplary knowledge of the biopsychosocial process of substance use disorders / recovery, behavioral health, self-help group processes, and principles of counseling.
- Relate effectively with staff, patients, and professional community while upholding appropriate standards of confidentiality.
Qualifications
- LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT license required. Limited Permit (LP) Licenses are acceptable.
- CASAC credential accompanied with prior crisis experience can be substituted for a license.
- Two years employment experience in the Human Services field.
- Must have valid NYS driver’s license and access to your own vehicle.
